The Leinster Hills Golf Course was newly constructed in recent years and sits on about 20 acres (app. 81 ha) in the beautiful landscape near Carlow. The great 70 par golf course is located between Carlow and Ballon, only about 16 km or 20 minutes by car from the Mount-Leinster-Cottages. It provides a spectacular view of the six surrounding counties as well as the Wicklow- and Blackstairs Mountains.
